The short version
Parivance runs entirely inside your own Google Sheets™ spreadsheet. Your schedule data never reaches us, because there is nowhere for it to go; the program makes no network requests to any server we operate, and we operate none.
Parivance is provided by Axiolume, LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Axiolume, LLC.
What data Parivance handles
Inside your spreadsheet, Parivance reads and writes:
- The names you enter for physicians in your rotation
- The dates each one is unavailable
- Your holiday selections and rotation order
- Your weekend definition and related preferences
- The schedules it produces
All of it lives in your spreadsheet, in your Google Drive™, under your Google account.
How Parivance uses Google user data
“Google user data” means data from your Google Account that Parivance can reach through the permissions you grant it. For Parivance that is one thing: the contents of the single Google Sheets spreadsheet the add-on is installed in.
Parivance accesses that spreadsheet under the
spreadsheets.currentonly permission, which limits it to the file it
is running in and gives it no access to any other file in your Google Drive. It
uses that access for exactly one purpose: to read the physicians, dates, holiday
selections and preferences you have entered, and to write the schedule it builds
back into the same spreadsheet.
Parivance does not use Google user data for any other purpose. It is not used to train models, to build advertising or marketing profiles, to develop or improve unrelated products, or for any human to read. It is not copied out of your spreadsheet, and it is not retained anywhere else, because there is nowhere else: the program makes no outbound network requests and we operate no servers.
Parivance’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Parivance does not use Google Workspace™ API data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
Who we share Google user data with
No one. We do not share, transfer, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose Google user data to any third party, for any purpose.
There are no exceptions to list, because there is no mechanism by which a disclosure could occur. We use no service providers, subprocessors, hosting partners, analytics vendors, advertising networks or data brokers in connection with Parivance. No employee, contractor or affiliate of Axiolume, LLC has access to the contents of your spreadsheet. Should we ever receive a valid legal demand for customer data, we would have nothing to produce.
How your data is protected
Parivance protects your data primarily by never taking custody of it.
- Data stays inside your Google Account. Your schedule data never leaves the spreadsheet in your own Google Drive, so it remains under the security controls Google already applies to your account: encryption in transit and at rest, your organization’s sign-in and two-factor policies, and your own sharing settings.
- The narrowest possible permission. Parivance requests access to the current spreadsheet only. Even if the code were compromised, the permission granted to it cannot reach another file, your email, your contacts or your calendar.
- No transmission, so no interception. The add-on makes no outbound network requests. There is no channel over which your data could be sent to us or to anyone else.
- You control access and revocation. You decide who can open the spreadsheet, and you can withdraw Parivance’s permission at any time from your Google Account’s third-party access settings. Deleting the spreadsheet deletes the data.
Parivance is not designed to hold sensitive personal data, and asks you not to put any into it. It works with physician names and calendar dates. It requires no patient information, no health records, no government identifiers and no payment details, and none of these should be entered into it. The one category of personal data it does handle, a physician’s name alongside the dates they are unavailable, is protected by the measures above.
What we receive
Nothing. We have no server, no database, and no analytics in the product. Parivance makes no outbound network requests. We cannot see your physicians' names, their time off, or any schedule you build.
Permissions Parivance asks for
Google will show you exactly two:
- See, edit, create, and delete this spreadsheet: the file Parivance lives in. It is how the program reads your inputs and writes the schedule, and it does not extend to other files in your Drive.
- Display and run content in the spreadsheet: how the menu and setup dialogs appear.
Parivance does not request access to Drive at large, Gmail™, Contacts, or Calendar.
Patient information
Parivance holds no patient information of any kind. It works with physician names and calendar dates. Nothing about a patient is entered, stored, or processed, so no protected health information passes through it.
Support correspondence
If you email us for help, we keep that correspondence in the ordinary way, in a mailbox protected by a strong unique password and two-factor authentication, and we use it only to answer you. Support email is the one place where you could hand us data that Parivance itself never sees, so please keep it to the minimum needed to explain the problem. Do not paste patient information into a support email; we do not need it, and Parivance never does.
Deleting your data
Delete the spreadsheet. That is the whole of it. There is no account to close and no copy held anywhere else.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what Parivance does with your data, current license holders will be notified by email before it takes effect.
